Documents Required For Used Household Goods / Personal Effects:
- Original passport
- Valued list of articles / items with date of purchase
- Baggage customs with the declaration signed by owner of the goods
- Detailed packing list
- Detailed list of electronic items
- Authority letters for diplomats and non-diplomats, or refer agents for more information
- Duty-free exemption certificate, which is issued by diplomatic organization in India
- Original bill of lading / copy of sea waybill / copy of air waybill
- Original residence permit for the foreigners
- Valid visa or PIO card for foreign nationals or Overseas Citizen of India card
- Employment letter or transfer letter or assignment letters should be provided
- The Consulate or the Embassy of Diplomatic shipments should stamp the packing list
- Owner of the goods should be present for the Customs clearance
- Shipments are subject to Customs examination, unless it is a diplomatic shipment
- All containers, except the diplomat are offloaded at the point of entry (POE) / (TOE) and reloaded into vans
- Foreign nationals should possess a valid visa for 1 year
- Indian nationals must have lived abroad for at least a period of 2 years preceding transfer to India and intend to reside in India for at least a period of 1 year
- Owner of the goods must have not visited India for more than 180 days in the preceding 2 years
- Air shipments must be dispatched from the origin airport within 15 days after the arrival of the owner in India
- Sea shipments must be dispatched from the origin seaport within 1 month after the arrival of the owner in India
- Shipments may arrive at the India airport / seaport 2 months prior to arrival of the owner; however, shipment will be subject to demurrage / detention
- Electronic items should be loaded in the front or opening side of the container or the lift-van
- List of electronic items should be provided on a separate sheet
Documents Required For Motor Vehicles
- Original passport
- Original invoice from the manufacturer
- Import license may be required unless coming to India on a Transfer of Residence
- Insurance policy
- Certificate of title and registration copy
- OBL /Duty exemption certificate for the diplomats
- Since the import of motor vehicles involves many details, conditions, and complicated procedures, it is not recommended
- Duties are higher than 200% of the value assessed by customs
- Diplomatic motor vehicles are allowed to be imported free of duty only if covered by a duty exemption certificate issued by the Indian Ministry of External Affairs and this is subject to the Ministry approval
- Individuals can bring one used imported car only if coming to India on ToR
- Motor vehicle must be in passengers ownership and possession for at least 1 year prior to importation into India
- Only right-hand drive vehicles are allowed to be imported and this may exclude diplomats
- Only cards that meet Euro III pollution norms are allowed and should have a certificate from manufacturer
- Used vehicles can only be imported through the Customs port at Mumbai
Documents Required For Pets
- Vaccination record
- Veterinary health certificate
- Advance NOC provided by Animal Quarantine department in India
- Only one cat, dog or parrot is allowed to import by the passenger coming to India on Transfer or Residence
Restricted/Dutiable Items
- New items are subject to duties and invoice should be provided for the same
- Customs duties levied for the following items may be approximately 16.50%:

- Deep freezers
- Video home theatres
- Video cameras
- Domestic Refrigerators above 300L or equivalent
- Firearms, ammunition and weapons
- Restricted items are included with the household goods shipment
- A license must be obtained prior to import
- Duplicate items or any items that exceed the sum of Rs. 150,000 (Rs. 500,000 in Delhi and Mumbai) are levied with duties of approximately 36.01 to 61%

- Foreign nationals may be allowed to import foodstuff up to Rs. 1,000,000 in a year

Moved from Singapore to Bangalore. Assessment was done online over a video call as I was unwell. Packing was quick, meticulously & carefully done, glassware and kitchen items were packed well. Items arrived on-time in India and customs clearing was done quickly without any hassle.The team did not even hesitate when I asked them to hold on to my items for two weeks in Chennai and then transport it to Bangalore (this was not agreed upon when booking their services).The team was punctual when they delivered the items and unpacking was also done quickly by the them.The team always did a prompt follow up at each and every step of the process. To me, it was a hassle-free experience and I will recommend their relocation services from Singapore without a doubt.

I got my shifting done remotely while I was not in country. The shifting was done perfectly with trust and dedication. In my absence they shifted my whole house without supervision. Everything was neatly labelled and all my items reached safely with no damage. Some pieces of furniture were antique... which was very skillfully packed by the team ... even Carpenters who reassembled the furniture in India was amazed to see how skillfully the furniture had been shipped. I am very greatful to them for doing a fantastic job.

The packers were extremely punctual, very hard working and friendly and polite. My extremely shy child got friendly with them in a very short while. We had almost a whole container worth of material & this was packed & unpacked in a period of about half a day each. The coordination for customs clearance was seamless and fully managed by the local team. Almost all the items (esp all the fragile glassware) came through the move safe. A couple of minor breaks they have said they will get repaired - which solution we are happy to accept. Every single person we spoke with & interacted were fantastic. Thank you for making our move as simple as you did!

Professional with the quote being very reasonable. The packing, collection and shipping was done in time and dilivery to Manipal made on schedule. The coordinator in India did a commendable job ensuring the customs clearance was done without the owners presence. Dilivery to Manipal, unpacking and installation of furniture was done in a highly satisfactory manner. All of this during the difficult Corona Virus period.

Mr San ensured we had a smooth move, despite the fact that we had a complicated move from Mumbai to Singapore, some good had to be moved to Bangalore, remaining to be kept in storage for 3 months and then moved. Due to Covid, we only labeled items and were not physically present for the packing. Notwithstanding this, all items came correctly to both destinations without damage.
